Thomas completes the double !!!

English National champion and reigning English Masters champion Chris Thomas defended his title with a 4-0 victory over suprise finalist Matt Lampitt. The losing semi - finalists were Dave Pawsey and Chris Short. The day started badly with Kasper Bennett and Victor Jones withdrawing. Once the groups were reformulated a good and entertaining days play was had by all that attended. Group one was a very close fight between Chris Thomas and Chris Short. Chris Thomas eventualy won the group on goal difference. Dave Russell finished 3rd after losing to both Chris's 1-0. Group two saw top seed Steve Hawkins finish 3rd. Matt Lampitt won the group with England Captain Dave Pawsey finishing 2nd.

Both semi - finals were closely fought. Chris Thomas beat Dave Pawsey 1-0 and Matt Lampitt beat Chris Short 2-1 with a sudden death goal in extra time.

The final was another close game until Chris Thomas scored his second goal, he then went on to take control and win 4-0
