Torres's goal was his 30th in his debut season

Liverpool eased to a 3-1 win over Blackburn in the Premier League at Anfield thanks to goals by Steven Gerrard, Fernando Torres and Andriy Voronin.

All three strikes came in the second half and Torres's goal was his 30th in his debut season in England. Roque Santa Cruz scored late on for Rovers, who stay ninth after the defeat.

The victory consolidated Liverpool's grip on fourth place, sending them five points clear of Merseyside rivals Everton
